Nine temperature levels is a real spec
It is easy to overlook, but a nine-level controller is genuinely more useful than the three- or four-level controllers common lower down the category. Heat tolerance in a blanket is individual and builds over weeks; fine gradations let you increase in steps small enough to actually notice. If you are acclimatizing, this is the specification that affects your experience most.
The EMF claim, examined
HigherDOSE markets on low EMF and low ELF. Naming ELF separately is more specific than the industry norm — most competitors say "low EMF" and stop — and it suggests the manufacturer is thinking about the right variables. Extremely low frequency fields are the relevant concern for a heating element wrapped close around a body.
But no figure is published for either, and no measurement distance is given. That leaves the claim unverifiable from published material. It is not evidence that the claim is false; it is evidence that a buyer cannot check it, and cannot compare it against any competitor's equivalent claim. The insert is the part people learn about too late
You sweat heavily inside a blanket, directly onto an inner surface that cannot go in a washing machine. Without a washable layer between you and it, regular use makes the blanket unpleasant within a couple of weeks, and it does not recover.
