The best saunas for tall people
Outside height tells you little: the roof, floor and benches eat into it. The number that matters is interior height — and, if you want to lie down, interior length. Few listings publish either, so we started from the ones that do.
If you are tall, the frustration with sauna listings is that most publish the outside of the box. The gap is real: the KUNSANA corner cabin here is 75.6 inches tall outside and 71.5 inside, and the HKXSC 78.54 outside and 74.01 inside. We only considered saunas that publish an interior height, an interior length or a stated range of user heights, and we set them against what Sun Home publishes for its own cabins.

Height, seated and standing
Most of a session is spent sitting, so the real question is headroom above the bench — and bench height is rarely published. As a first check, compare the interior height with your own: a 74-inch interior is 6 ft 2 in, and a 71.5-inch interior is just under 6 ft. If you are taller than the interior, you will stoop to stand, and on an upper bench your head sits close to the ceiling. The KUNSANA two-person ceramic cabin is the one listing here that states a user range reaching 78 inches — 6 ft 6 in.
Lying down
If you want to lie down in a traditional sauna, length is the number. The ZONEMEL panoramic barrel publishes an interior of 69 × 88 × 69 in — 88 inches is 7 ft 4 in — and says two people can lie down in it. Barrels have a catch for height, though: a barrel is tallest at the center of its curve, and the ceiling falls away toward the benches.
The door
Tall users also meet the door frame. Sun Home publishes a 29-inch door opening for the Solaris. If a door matters to you and the listing does not give its opening, ask the seller before you buy.

A one-person infrared cabin whose listing says it suits users up to 5 ft 9 in. It is honest — most listings do not tell you at all — but if you are over six feet, it is the wrong cabin.
