Sun Home Eclipse: what the documentation says
A premium red light panel from a direct-sales brand. Here is what a buyer can establish, what to ask, and what is buyable through a normal channel today.

The Eclipse is Sun Home's red light panel and it draws search interest as part of the brand's broader recovery range. What we can usefully do is set out how to evaluate a premium panel and record what our survey could and could not verify.
The one question that matters
For any red light panel at any price: what is the irradiance in mW/cm², and at what distance was it measured?
Dose is irradiance × time. Without irradiance and a distance, you cannot compare two panels, cannot work out a session length, and cannot relate what you own to anything in the research literature. It is the entire specification, and across our whole survey of this category, at every price point, nobody published it.
A premium brand that will give you that figure with a stated distance is offering something genuinely rare, and it would be a real reason to pay more. One that answers with wattage is offering the same non-answer as the cheap end.

What we could not verify

- An irradiance figure with a stated measurement distance.
- Measured wall draw, as distinct from an LED rating.
- An operating temperature range, which matters given the brand also sells saunas.
That last gap is worth flagging specifically. A brand selling both saunas and red light panels is a brand whose customers will reasonably want to use them together — and whether the panel tolerates sauna-adjacent conditions is exactly the question that arises. We could not establish an answer, and we would ask before assuming.
Where a premium panel is genuinely different
- 1Driver quality. Flicker-free operation is real, checkable with a phone camera, and more common on better panels.
- 2Build and thermal management. LEDs degrade faster when they run hot. A panel that manages its own heat lasts longer at rated output.
- 3Consistency across the board. Cheap panels vary in output across the array; better ones do not.
- 4Warranty and support. LEDs dim over years and drivers fail. Someone to call is worth something.
Those are real and they justify a premium. What does not justify one is wavelength: 660 nm and 850 nm dual-chip LEDs appear across the entire price range, and the light is the same light.

If you want a Sun Home Eclipse, buy it from Sun Home. We earn nothing either way. Ask for the irradiance figure and the distance before you commit, and treat a clear numeric answer as a genuine reason to pay the premium — because in this category it would be close to unique.
If you are cross-shopping purely on wavelength exposure, the mainstream panels emit the same 660 and 850 nm light for considerably less. What you give up is driver quality, thermal management and support, not the wavelengths.
