LIT Method cold plunge review

The short version: the Stealth Luxe is LIT's flagship — a 316 marine-grade stainless tank with a powder-coated gun-metal shell, three inches of polyurethane foam, an ergonomic seat, and filtration that combines UVC LED sterilization, an automated ozone dispenser and a 50-micron filter. It runs 37 to 107 °F on ordinary household voltage, weighs 175 lb empty and about 1,300 lb filled, and is sold either on its own or with a one-horsepower chiller-heater. The warranty is one year, full coverage, for residential use.

Stainless, and why it matters

LIT's case is the material: 316 stainless resists corrosion from constant water contact better than the 304 grade used in cheaper tanks, and it wipes clean. The trade is weight and rigidity — 175 lb before you add water, and no folding it away. Filtration without chemicals

Three stages, per LIT: a UVC LED lamp, an automated ozone dispenser and a 50-micron cartridge filter. LIT says the combination keeps water clear with no harsh chemicals and no manual dosing. Fifty microns is a coarse filter — it catches hair and grit rather than fine particles — so the ozone and UVC are doing the sanitizing work; our filtration guide explains what each stage actually removes, and water treatments what to add if you need more.

Cold, and the range

The chiller-heater covers 37 to 107 °F, so the Luxe is a plunge and a warm soak in one tank. A 37 °F floor is warmer than the ice-making units from some rivals — Sun Home's integrated Pro publishes 28 °F — but well below the roughly 50–59 °F most cold-water research used, which our temperature guide covers. If you use the heat mode, the CPSC's hot tub guidance is to stay at or below 104 °F.

The warranty, and the returns policy

The Stealth Luxe page states a one-year limited warranty covering the stainless structure, liner and all electrical components under normal residential use, and says a commercial warranty is available separately. LIT's warranty and returns page is mostly about returns, and the terms there are strict: canceled orders and returned goods carry storage and routing costs plus a handling and restocking fee of 20% of the total price, with the buyer assuming shipping and risk of loss, and no cancellation once an order has shipped. What is not published

• Water capacity in gallons, on the page we read.
• External dimensions and the interior length, so you cannot check fit by height.
• Amperage — the page gives 106–120 V and 60 Hz but no current draw.
• Noise, for the chiller-heater.
• Whether the warranty covers labor, or only parts.

Who it suits

• Buyers who want a metal tank, not a plastic shell or an inflatable — and have a permanent spot for 1,300 lb.
• Chemical-free upkeep, with UVC and ozone doing the work between sessions.
• One tub for hot and cold, within the 104 °F ceiling.

Alternatives you can buy today

LIT does not sell through Amazon. Our honest position

LIT documents its build better than most — grade of steel, inches of foam, the filtration stack, the weight filled and empty — and the Luxe reads like a serious piece of equipment. What it leaves out is the practical fit data: gallons and dimensions. The one-year warranty is short for a tank in this class, and the 20% restocking fee makes a change of mind expensive.
